Malaysia is home to the world's tallest statue of Lord Murugan, but not everyone can visit.

But the tallest statue of Lord Murugan in the world, 146 feet, is located in the village of Muthu Malai in Tamil Nadu.

Bhoomi Puja was held in September 2016 to set up the statue and it was decided that the consecration would take place on April 22.

The temple is located in Muthu Malai, a town in Attur, Salem district.

Muthu Nadarajan decided to build this statue. It was decided to set up the statue at a cost of about Rs 3 crore.

It is noteworthy that Thiagarajan designed the statue of Lord Murugan in Malaysia. The statue of Lord Murugan in Malaysia is displayed in gold color.

How to go:

 The route from Salem Seelanayakkanpatti Bypass is about 40 km from the Pearl Hill on the Attur Highway.
